POST TITLE: HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR PROJECT SUPERVISOR
Project supervisor is seen as a guide to helping a researcher know, examine and direct him in the course of education project writing. For a researcher to have a smooth and successful project researching, he must listen to the instructions of the supervisor which save as a guide for his project research.
Just like the bible says “..two cannot walk together except they agree..”, this has a lot to talk about in a relationship, therefore, if there is a cordial relationship between you and your supervisor, there is every possibility that the two of you will help each other to do a great job.
In the side of the researcher, always listening and taking advice from his supervisor, does not insult the supervisor, use the right instrument as instructed by the supervisor, be fast in whatever he asked you to do as regards the project writing, you must be willing to learn new things and submit himself to teaching for a better understanding of the project for you to be able to stand and defend without any assistance: because when you know what you are doing, you can talk about it anywhere you find yourself with all amount of certainty and boldness in you, a researcher must have the ability to tolerate his supervisor in the case of a nagging supervisor, because you cannot quench fire by pouring fuel, rather, the best solution is for you to talk calmly, answer him or her whatever he or she is asking you with respect, because it is certain that you cannot talk while your supervisor is talking and if you do, it might be regarded as an insult which may lead to the termination of the supervision, you must also understand when your supervisor is not in the mood to see anyone, but if eventually you see him or her, calculate your words in such a way that will make him or her want to spend more time with you irrespective of how his or day went. All these characteristics enlisted here and many more can make a supervisor to flow well with you and thereby leading to a successful research of project in education.
In the aspect of the supervisors, supervisors should take a researcher as a child that is looking up to them for possible solutions to their problems. No matter what a researcher might do, still regard him as a child because by so you will be able to overlook their mistakes and move on with the project supervision which will definitely enhance a better performance during project defence.
